above are a couple of photos taken by abs just down the street from our temporary pad. check it out, it's not raining. we had some requests....so here you go. we like a number of things about living in the city but it is becoming more and more apparent that we will not take-up a permanent residence inside the city. more on that at a later date.got back late last night from the trip to slovenia (or as they call it, the republic of slovenia). as it turns out, you can drive there in about 4 hours from holzkirchen (my office). you have to cross through the alps in austria, which is a breeze compared to crossing the rockies in colorado. the valleys are quite a bit tamer....although, i suspect you could make the drive as difficult as you wanted if another route was taken. i scoped-out a few good-looking places to ski next year, although it looks like if you were not afraid of a bit of hiking you could shred quite nicely right about now. i was told i was nuts for even mentioning this. at any rate, i was told about a glacier that can be skied year round. hmmmmm....... unfortunately, i did not have my camera as the scenery was spectacular. slovenia was pretty excellent. i spent a day and 1/2 in ljubljana (the capital) and a day in some town i can't pronounce, let alone spell. pretty much in the middle of nowhere and only a few kilometers from croatia in the far eastern part of slovenia. probably the coolest part of the trip was during a tour of one of our facilities, i was shown where the bomb shelter was.....crazy commies thought we might seriously bomb there arses....
here is a map for those too lazy to google...
peace to all you socialists out there living in the shadows....
